Last week the North Carolina Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense Office, honored our President and CEO Samantha Godfrey for her support of Petty Officer Maria Montoya, Security Group, Naval Operational Support Center, United States Navy Reserve. The Patriot Award recognizes bosses and supervisors who are supportive of National Guard or Reserve duty when they are activated. These awardees are bosses who make accommodations and the necessary arrangements to support Citizen Warriors including flexible schedules, time off during deployment, and granting leaves of absence when needed.

"Organizations like United Drug Supply recognize the extraordinary value Guard and Reserve employees bring to their workplace," said North Carolina ESGR Committee Chair Ron Bogle.  "Hiring them is not just the right thing to do; it is the business-smart thing to do."
